The dream of flight is one that mankind has had since the dawn of time, yet only recently has this dream become available to everyone. A trial flight with Airplay is guaranteed to be memorable, with the wind-in-the-face experience of a flexwing microlight being truly unique.
We offer Trial Flight vouchers (valid for 1 year from date of purchase), which make a perfect present. The grateful recipient simply needs to call us to arrange a suitable time for the flight to take place. On the day of the flight we recommend giving us a call to check on the weather conditions on the day; if it is unsuitable then we will simply re-arrange your flight for another time. All safety equipment (helmets, gloves, flying suits etc.) will be provided, just bring some sensible footwear.
Upon your arrival at Sutton Meadows airfield (How to Find Us), you will receive a briefing and be shown around the aircraft. Spectators are very welcome, and there will be an opportunity for photographs. Then, you will be strapped in and take to the skies safe in the hands of our very experienced instructors. Depending on weather conditions and time available, you may well be able to see your house from the air, or take a tour around the unique landscape of Cambridgeshire. You can even take a camera airborne with you as long as it is fitted with a good quality safety strap. After landing, you will be presented with a certificate and we will be happy to discuss options with you should you decide to take the sport up and obtain your Private Pilots License.
For those that are after something even more special, we offer the new "Flying-Start Experience". This consists of a full briefing, before a cross-country flight to another airfield, where a break and possibly refreshments will be provided (depending on the chosen airfield). Then, if the conditions allow, you will take the pilots seat for the flight home. These flights count towards your license, and will be entered as your first flights in your own logbook, provided as part of the experience. Total experience time approx 3-4hrs, with around 2hrs flight time.
